ERITS has been hosting local and international conferences by working with interpretation and translation related institutes in Korea and abroad and by cooperating with prestigious international academic institutions. ERITS-hosted conferences have allowed interpretation and translation experts to come together and exchange their views.

In addition, based on the foundations of rich on-the-job experience, the research capabilities of GSTI will be further enhanced through diverse interdisciplinary projects.

Ewha GSTI’s translation research team analyzes a wide scope of translated books, selects well-translated books and establishes objective criteria regarding translation quality.

On top of this, the translation team develops new translation methods by taking on a differentiated approach based on language and theme. The translation team works hand in hand with translation related institutes in selecting, translating and publishing renowned works of different languages in Korea and abroad.

It is also working on the research and application of up-to-date technologies such as Computer Assisted Translation (CAT), Terminology Management System, and software localization.
