The Center for Korean Language Education and Research (CKLEAR) is housed under the Institute for International Trade and Cooperation (IITC) in the Graduate School of International Studies at Ewha Womans University. CKLEAR focuses on research into the acquisition, pedagogy, assessment, use and analysis of Korean as a second or foreign language (KSL/KFL) in Korea and abroad. Given the faculty composition in the Department of Korean Studies, CKLEAR is in a unique and strategically advantageous position in promoting cross-fertilization of two research domains (i.e., Teaching KSL/KFL and Korean Culture).
