Journal of Ewha Music Research Institute publishes scholarship from all fields of musical inquiry: from historical musicology, critical theory and music, music analysis, iconography and organology, to performance practice, aesthetics and hermeneutics, ethnomusicology, gender and sexuality, popular music and cultural studies. Each issue includes articles, book reviews, and communications. JEMRI is the official preer-reviewed international journal of the Ewha Music Research Institute.
