Linguistics
Linguistics is the study of patterns found in language data with the ultimate goal of finding universal principles underlying the structure of languages. Our linguistics program offers a range of courses in core fields of linguistics (phonetics, phonology, syntax, and semantics) as well as in applied linguistics (language acquisition, applied linguistics, and corpus linguistics). Many M.A. graduates of the program have gone on to pursue their Ph.D. degree and are currently working as eminent scholars in their field.
