Beings

Founded in 1930, Beings is the English Language and Literature Department’s English drama club. Every year the club stages an official performance and holds special lectures, seminars, and workshops. It has produced many professional alumni.

Most recent performances:Hamlet(2012), Reckless Desires(2013), Romeo and Juliet (2014)

DAE (Debate Association of Ewha)

Founded in 2005, DAE is the department’s English debate club and has won numerous national and international awards in debate tournaments.

2009. Semi-Finalist. ESL Round, Australasian Intervarsity Debating Championship, Auckland

New Wave

Founded in 2011, New Wave is a movie discussion and short film production club. In 2013, it produced a short film, Foe.

Weekly Poetry

Founded in 2008, Weekly Poetry is a contemporary English and American poetry study club. It has, within three years, produced 11 graduate school students. 

Writing Club

Founded in 2009, Writing Club is a creative writing club. In 2013, it published its first issue of creative works, Luminis.
