National Security Language Initiative for Youth hosted

 

Ewha Womans University Language Center (principal Lee, Hae Young) held an opening ceremony for ‘National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y)’ at Ewha Samsung Education&Culture Center.

The NSLI-Y, organized by corporation Better World, is a program which The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the US Department of State annually selects the language that youth must give attention and sends the students to the origin-country of that language with expenses supported by the government.

Korean language is one of the seven languages chosen which American teenagers must pay attention.

As of this year, 50 American students were selected to participate in Korean language classes at Ewha Language Center from July 4th (Tue) through August 11th (Fri).
