Essential Tutoring Online Consultations

Essential Tutoring is GLEO’s tutoring service for students who need additional help outside of the classroom. This semester, our graduate student consultants will provide 30-minute online tutoring on reading and speaking issues. Please note that the consultations will be conducted in Korean. 

Please follow the instructions below:

1. Make your appointment through the Writing Clinic homepage as described below:

▶ Go to http://epo.ewha.ac.kr, click “영어클리닉” and then “영작문클리닉 예약”.

▶ Click the block for a consultant and appoint time you want. 

*Note that Essential Tutoring times are noted as “essential tutoring” next to the consultant names.

▶ After you complete the sign-in sheet, press “Submit”. 

2. Provide an email address that you frequently check (when making your appointment) in order to receive your Hangouts Meet or Zoom link.  Your consultant will send you this link 10 minutes before the appointed time. 

3. Email your writing along with any other relevant course materials to the Writing Clinic (eclinic@ewha.ac.kr), at least 30 minutes before your appointed time. Be sure to also include your professor’s name, course title, and your specific writing questions or problems.  Please write the name of your consultant in your email subject line.

4. Try to be in a relatively quiet place because video conferencing apps like Hangouts Meet and Zoom tend to be very sound sensitive.

5. Use a device with a strong internet connection so that you will not experience any technical difficulties during your consultation.

Essential Tutoring은 수업 외 추가적인 도움이 필요한 학생들을 위한 GLEO의 튜터링 서비스입니다. 이번 학기에 Essential Tutoring 컨설턴트들이 reading및 speaking 관련 문제에 대해 30분간 온라인 튜터링을 한국어로 진행할 것입니다.

1. 학생들은 이전과 동일하게 아래의 Writing Clinic 홈페이지를 통해서 예약하시기 바랍니다.

▶ http://epo.ewha.ac.kr →  “영어클리닉” →  “영작문클리닉 예약” 클릭.

▶  희망하는 예약 시간 및 컨설턴트 클릭.

* Essential Tutoring 시간은 컨설턴트 성명 옆에 “essential tutoring” 표시가 적혀있음.

▶  서명 완료 후 “Submit” 클릭. 

2. 담당 컨설턴트가 행아웃 (Hangouts Meet) 또는 줌 (Zoom)링크를보낼 수 있도록 예약 시 자주사용하는 이메일 주소를 알려 주시기 바랍니다. 링크는 예약 시간 10분전에 전달할 예정입니다. 

3. 튜터링 예약 시간 30분전까지 필요한 글이나 자료 등을 Writing Clinic 이메일 (eclinic@ewha.ac.kr)로 보내주시기 바랍니다. 제출 시 교수님 성함, 강좌명, 질문 리스트를 포함하여 보내주시기 바랍니다. 또한 이메일 제목에 컨설턴트 성함을 기입 해주시기 바랍니다.

4. 행아웃 (Hangouts Meet) 또는 줌 (Zoom)은 주변 소리에 민감하기 때문에, 조용한 곳에서 진행 해주시기 바랍니다.

5. 원활한 진행을 위해 학생들은 안정적인 인터넷 환경에서 시작하시길 바랍니다.
