[Freshmen English Exam for Exemption 2022] 

 

﹡ Applicants:

Freshmen who wish to check whether she can be exempted from taking [College English] or [Advanced English].

DIS(국제학부) students are not able to be exempted from Required English Courses. Scranton(스크랜튼학부) students can be only exempted from College English. It is not a mandatory exam.

Considering the current COVID-19 situation, only Vaccine Pass holders who follow the most recent Korean government’s guidelines for the COVID-19 Vaccine Pass can take the exam.

 

* Entrants(both Koreans and foreigners) from abroad should carry a 10-day self-quarantine confirmation document and the certificate of negative PCR test result for COVID-19. (10-day self-quarantine confirmation document can be issued at the local Public Health Center.)

 

 

﹡ Exam Schedule and Period for applying:

* Student can only choose one of the 4 scheduled exams.

* Student can take the exam only once.

* Applicant must arrive the test site 60 minutes before the start of the exam.

 

※ The 3rdand 4th exams(Feb. 24. (Thur)) are scheduled after the Freshmen’ class registration period.

Students who are planning to take the 3rd and 4th exams, Please make sure to register for the required English course first. Only those who have been exempted with the exam results can check their registration for exemption(10098-79) class during the course registration confirmation and change period (2022.3.2~3.8).

※ How to log-in for foreign students:

Enter your application number(수험번호) for both name and application number sections on the log-in screen.

※ For foreign students, If online payment is not available, send [your name, registration number(수험번호) and exam date/time] to toefl@chosun.com to apply for the exam and pay in cash at the exam site.

﹡ Notes:

- Only the Vaccine Pass holders who follow the most recent Korean government’s guidelines for the COVID-19 Vaccine Pass can take the exam. Exam takers are required to show proof of vaccination or equivalent documents to prove that you are a Vaccine Pass holder.

* Entrants(both Koreans and foreigners) from abroad should carry a 10-day self-quarantine confirmation document and the certificate of negative PCR test result for COVID-19. (10-day self-quarantine confirmation document can be issued at the local Public Health Center.)

- There will be a pre-quarantine at the test site.

- There will be 3 times of body temperature check:

  ① at the lobby, ② at the TOEFL center, ③ during a break of the exam.

- Mandatory to wear a mask for those entering the test center (KF80 or higher quarantine mask)

- Disinfection face shield will be provided. 

   (Exam takers must wear it from the time you enter the exam site until you leave)

- If exam taker is caught not wearing a mask twice or wearing a mask incorrectly during the test, 

   you may be asked to leave.

- Exam taker may be asked to leave during the test as judged by the supervisor due to frequent coughing 

   or poor physical condition .
