  EWIS has been a great help for English writing. Before I took a EWIS class, I thought I know what is writing about and how to write in English. However, EWIS has brought me a right way to read, think and finally organize my thoughts into papers. It all started with critical reading, so writings in EWIS also helped me become a critical thinker. It is not just about writing something in English language, but about seeing the world in various ways. That is way I am sure that EWIS will be a great help for my future.

 장미루 (이화여대 영어영문학)

  대학원 진학을 앞두고, 영어 작문에 대한 공부가 필요했기 때문에 EWIS 수업을 듣게 되었습니다. 다른 영어교육기관에서 듣는 essay 수업은 essay와 첨삭이 매일 진행되는 것이 어려운데 비해, EWIS는 매일 글을 쓰고 이에 대한 첨삭을 받을 수 있다는 점이 가장 좋았습니다. 수업은 100% 영어로 진행되기 때문에 듣기와 말하기 연습을 동시에 할 수 있었고, 작문 뿐 아니라 다양한 글쓰기 style도 배울 수 있었습니다.

  The EWIS was a unique experience for me in more than one aspect, It was helpful to highlight the common mistakes in which a lot of non native English students do while writing, we learned this while working individually on our writing pieces. The in class discussion was a good idea for different reasons. First it showed me how to read and analyses what is meant in depth, second, it showed the importance while writing we should take inconsideration our audience. The discussions showed each student had different perception to the articles that we had to investigate.

Farah Aldujaili (Ewha Graduate School of International Studies)

  Through EWIS program, writing has turned from mere interest to a talent for me. EWIS was a program that made me realize that writing is not just something black on a paper, and people need to be taught how to write. Also, the program curriculum and the instructor did a splendid job in making the program academical and fun. Most important, there is not much workload. I think it's the best chance any student can get for writing in their life! Unchallengable!

  살면서 이런 영어글쓰기 프로그램을 한 번 접해야지만 자신이 나중에 영어로 무언가를 작성할 때 제대로 할 수 있을 것 같습니다. 영어로 자기추천서, 논술부터 소설 분석까지 짧은 시간에 사람이 기본적으로 필요한 모든 영어 글쓰기를 훑어주어서 좋았습니다. 그리고 학교 외에서는 쉽게 접할 수 없는 고급 글쓰기 프로그램이고 교외 프로그램인 학원등은 자신의 수준에 너무 쉽고 기본적인 사람들에게 가장 필요한 프로그램이라고 생각합니다.

  EWIS program is a best opportunity for you to improve your writing skills. Through this program, I learned that good writing is not achieved at once but through several practices and corrections.EWIS course is worth dedicating a half of your winter break. Through EWIS program, I practiced three styles of writing: comparative essay, argumentative essay, and research paper.Of the three assignments, learning to write research paper was particularly helpful because I’ve never carried out such an in-depth research and analysis of a topic that’s related to my major before.

  Academic Writing이나 tutoring을 받을 수 있는 사설 학원이 있는지 알아봤지만, 찾기 어려웠습니다. 무엇보다도 대학 수준의 영작문을 가르칠 고급 인적 자원을 사교육 분야에는 만나기 어렵다는 걸 경험을 통해 잘 알고 있습니다. 훌륭한 교수님께 4주동안 많은 것을 배울 수 있었습니다. 저의 경우 지정 교재의 내용보다는 학생들의 실수를 정리해서 설명해 주시고, 적합한 예와 부적합한 예를 들어 설명해 주셨던 부분이 많은 도움이 되었습니다. 그리고 저에게 가장 절실히 필요했던 제 글에 대한 코멘트를 받을 수 있는 기회가 가장 유익했습니다. 여러 번 저의 글을 살펴봐 봐주신 교수님께 진심으로 감사드립니다. 그리고 중도포기하지 않고 코스를 수료할 수 있도록 늦은 시간은 물론 주말까지 신경써주신 코디네이터, 이수경 교수님께도 깊은 감사를 드립니다.
