[Submitting iBT TOEFL & IELTS report for Freshmen 2023]

Exemption of [College English(10098)] or [Advanced English(10099)] is possible only for 'Required English courses' of each college.

Undergraduate students from the Department of International Studies are excluded from the English course exemption. Students from Scranton(스크랜튼학부) can be only exempted from College English.

(1) Exemption Standards

• iBT TOEFL:

  - College English: iBT TOEFL score 105 to 114

  - Advanced English: iBT TOEFL score 115 or higher

    *‘My Best scores’ is valid.

• IELTS:

  - College English: IELTS score is in between 7.5 and 8

  - Advanced English: IELTS score is higher than 8.5

    *Both Paper and Computer tests of IELTS can be submitted.

     (only Academic module is accepted.)

(2) Applying Period & Procedure

- iBT TOEFL and IELTS score holders can apply for the English course exemption only during this period.

- Freshmen who submit their score report by Feb. 15, (Wed) 2023 will be registered for exemption class before the freshmen course registration period. Students who submit their score report after Feb. 15, (Wed) can check their registration for exemption class during the course registration confirmation and change period (2023.3.2~3.8).

- After submission, please check the e-mail sent by the GLEO and find attached file ‘Notice for course exemption for Spring 2023’. Please read the notice carefully and submit it back by e-mail with your application number, name, and signature at the bottom of the attached document.

- If you took a semester off and have come back to school, you need to ask about exemption course to Global Language Education office(02-3277-6964). ※ Course exemption is only applied during the validity period of the iBT TOEFL / IELTS score report submitted(applied from Freshmen 2023).
