[Dorm] 2022 Summer Intensive Program Dormitory Application Announcement


Only students who have been vaccinated may reside

 

1. 2022 Summer Intensive Semester Dormitory Schedule                           

- Residence Period: May 30th, 2022 (Mon) ~ August 19th, 2022 (Fri)

- Check-In: From 10:00 A.M May 30th, 2022 (Mon)

- Check-Out: By 10:00 a.m. August 19th, 2022 (Fri)

 

  Check-In/out is not allowed except during this period.

  Check-in hours: weekdays (Mon~Fri) 10:00 a.m. ~ 7:00 p.m.

  You cannot check in on June 1st (Wed) and June 6th (Mon), as it’s a public holiday.

  You can only check in on weekdays as COVID-19 situation worsen.

  Whether self-quarantine is mandatory or not may vary according to the authorities' quarantine guidelines in the future. If self-quarantine is mandatory, self-quarantine in dormitory is not possible and you can join the dormitory after self-quarantine is completed from the outside.

 

 

2. Application Qualification                                                              

- Students enrolled in 2022 Summer Intensive Program

 

※ For newcomers' case, those who have completed document screening process)

 

 

3. Application period                                                                     

- April 11th, 2022 (Mon) 0:00 a.m. ~ April 24th, 2022 (Sun) 23:59 a.m. (Korean Standard Time)

 

  Dormitory applications and room assignments will be made on a first-come, first served basis.(Please keep time strictly)

 

 

4. 2022 Summer Intensive Semester I-House (International Dormitory) Room Type and Fee:

5. How to Apply                                                                         

Log in with the ID used for intensive course application on the ELC course application site (http://atom.ewha.ac.kr/ dormitory  dormitory application  Korean intensive course Summer

semester dormitory application → Submit Application → Save 

 

※ If you are unable to apply for the dormitory even after submitting online application form for the intensive Summer semester, please try again after refreshing the page.

 

 

6. Announcement of Application Results & Dormitory Fee Payment Information

- Will be announced individually through email on April 27th, 2022 (Wed)

 

  For new students, the payment of tuition for the 2022 intensive summer semester must be completed.

 

 

7. Payment period of the dormitory                                                     

- April 27th, 2022 (Wed) ~ May 4th, 2022(Wed) 14:00 (KST)

 

  Please make payment after checking the application result announcement delivered through email.

  Please be punctual. (The opportunity will be given to other applicants on the waiting list, if the payment is not made within the payment due date.)

  Send the payment receipt to kfldorm@ewha.ac.kr by the payment due date.

  Sender/Depositor Name’ should be the students name.

 

 

8. Required Document Submission                                                      

(1) Chest X-ray (tuberculosis test) certificate (Korean or English) issued

- Submission Period: Copy_ May 2nd (Mon) to May 13th (Fri)

                   Original_ Submit it directly to the dormitory office on the day of check-in.

- Condition: ① New students: Filmed after April 30th, 2022 (Sat)

② Continuous residents from the 2021 winter semester: Re-examine after April

 30th (Sat) and submit the result.

③ the result must be written in either Korean or English; need to prove that the student

 does not have tuberculosis; 

            ④ Student name (English), date of birth, date of inspection, and the test result

information are required.

 

(2) PCR negative results or rapid antigen test negative results

- Submission Period: ① New comers: submit to dormitory office on the day of check-in.

② Existing Residents: Submit the negative results(paper) to the dormitory

office after examine on May 30th(Mon)

- Condition:  ① PCR negative results: Taken within 48 hours from the scheduled date of individual

check-in.

② Rapid antigen test negative results: Inspection within 24 hours of the scheduled check-in date.

③ Student name (English), date of examination, and whether the result is negative should be included.

- All 2022 Summer New Comers have to submit the results.

 

(3) Certificate of vaccination or proof of vaccination completion

- Submission Due date: Copy_ May 2nd, 2022 (Mon) ~ May 13th, 2022 (Fri)

                     Original_ Submit it directly to the dormitory office on the day of check-in.

- Condition: ① Within 180 days after 14 days of second vaccination(exception: first dose of Janssen)

Or ② After third vaccination(exception: second dose of Janssen)(no expiration date as of Dec. 2021)

   ③ Only vaccination certificate (paper) containing [Personal information, vaccination information, the date of 1/2/3 vaccination]

- Subject: Students of 2022 summer Intensive Program who joins dormitory.

 

  Only 8 WHO-approved vaccines (Pfizer, Janssen, Moderna, AstraZeneca, KoviShield, Sinopharm, Sinobeck and Kovine) fall under vaccine passes, while no other vaccines are recognized.

   Certificate of vaccination or proof of vaccination completion(paper) can only be submitted in Korean or in English (Translation notarization is required for other languages)

   You will not be able to enter dormitory if you cannot confirm the vaccination certificate or proof of vaccination completion, so make sure to prepare related documents so that admission is not denied.

   This content may change according to future quarantine guidelines of the authorities.

 

 

9. 2022 Spring – Summer Vacation Residence                                        

- Residence Period: May 20th, 2022 (Fri) ~ May 30th, 2022 (Mon)

- Residence Qualification: Current 2022 Spring semester dormitory residents who have applied for

Summer semester dormitory as well.

  Apply together when applying for the 2022 summer semester dormitory. 

  You may use the room you live in in the 2022 spring semester continuously. In this case, you can use it continuously in the 2022 summer semester as well.

  The payment will be included in the 2022 summer semester dormitory fee invoice.

11. Note                                                                                      

1.    If you have not applied or cancel application of ELC Intensive course, the dormitory will be cancelled automatically.

2.    The room will be randomly assigned in the order of application submission.

3.    Application will be cancelled if dormitory fee is not paid by the deadline.

4.    Dormitory check-in is not allowed if there is a problem in chest X-ray diagnosis/COVID-19 test result.
