The Department’s student council organizes and conducts many important department events while acting as a bridge to promote student-faculty communication and interaction.

  The student council plans and organizes events like the One-Day Hof Event, the May Festival, the Girin Festival (festival of the College of Liberal Arts), and History Department Night (regular departmental symposium). For members of the council, planning and participating in these important department events helps students develop a sense of connection and stronger attachments to the History Department.
