Center for Convergence in Emerging Electronic Technology

The Ewha-Hynix Semiconductor Joint Research Institute at the department of Electronics Engineering has been founded in October 2000 in cooperation with Hynix Semiconductor Inc. and has managed and executed Phase 1 Information Technology/Semiconductor Industry-Academic Cooperation Projects for 5 years until 2005. Thanks to the successful outcome of the Phase 1 Industry-Academic Cooperation Projects, a new agreement was made for Phase 2 Industry-Academic Cooperation Projects from 2005 to 2010.

Center for Convergence in Emerging Electronic Technology (formerly Ewha-Hynix Semiconductor Joint Research Institute) has been founded with the aim of broadening the research area into interdisciplinary research between all fields of electronic and electrical engineering, BT, NT, and ET. In the process of conducting research, Center for Convergence in Emerging Electronic Technology has also been focusing on the improvement of graduate-level education and establishment of reputation as a research institute implementing cutting-edge technology through close interaction with the industry partners.
