Ewha Institute for Systems Biology (ERCSB) was established to promote interdisciplinary convergence research through analysis of various omics data including next-generation sequencing and integrated analysis.

As a major research topic, they are performing research for cancer genome, drug-related dielectric systems biology and bioinformatics; besides, they are conducting various joint research based on omics and development of bioinformatics analytical tools with various domestic and foreign research institutions such as Seoul National University School of Medicine, Samsung Seoul Hospital, DNA link, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Gwangju KAIST (GIST), etc. In addition, it operates a variety of educational programs such as bioinformatics graduate Interdisciplinary program and undergraduate major in conjunction with bioinformatics, and besides, short-term bioinformatics training workshop, internship programs and lab rotation are available as well.
