The Ewha PEACE (Professional Ewhaian At Cultural Exchange) Buddy is a group of volunteers from Ewha to help exchange students’ initial contact with Korean students and adjustment to new environments. As a member of a PEACE Buddy, you will be interacting with exchange students and will represent Korea as a cultural delegation.


Responsible, enthusiastic and sociable personality.

Fluent in foreign languages.


Man to man matching with foreign exchange students. 

Airport pickup, introducing Seoul and Korea.

Campus tour and guidance in course registration.

Supporting OGA hosted events (ie Orientation, field trips, festivals etc.)

Participating Buddy programs (ie Lunch day, Movie day, Halloween party, school anniversary event etc.)

Certificate of Completion

A Certificate of Completion under the name of the Vice President of the Office of Global Affairs is given out to all Buddies who have completed all PEACE Buddy activities. Campus tour and guidance in course registration.

*Note: Buddies who have completed all of their PEACE Buddy activities will gain extra points when applying for the exchange student program at Ewha.

Recruitment and Application

The Head of the PEACE Buddy will recruit new members every end of semester. 

Detailed information will be found on OGA and Ewha notice board when there is any new recruitment. 

PEACE Buddies will be recruited via paper screening and interviews.
