Translation Certificate

ERITS offers three different certificate courses: Business Interpreting and

Translation Certificate Course, Legal Interpreting Certificate Course,  

Legal Translation Certificate Course and Patent Translation Certificate Course

These non-degree programs aim to contribute to society by training competent individuals with the basic interpretation/translation capabilities that are needed in government institutions, corporations, public institutions, and social organizations in this age of globalization.

 

In the Business Interpreting and Translation Certificate Course, students will acquire the basic skills necessary for interpretation and translation. Students who have successfully completed the program are eligible to transfer to the University of New South Wales (UNSW Australia) Master of Arts in Interpreting and Translation Studies Program.  

 

The Legal Interpreting Certificate Course is an educational program that strives to contribute to public interest by raising individuals needed for judicial interpretation in a multi-cultural society. It aims to train individuals with the capacity to provide ethical interpretation in the legal field, namely for judicial agencies, including the police, prosecutors, court of law, and Ministry of Justice. 

 

The Legal Translation Certificate Course is focused on strengthening the skill sets of translation specialists so that they can accurately perform legal duties and translate legal documents by enhancing their understanding of the translation skills needed in the legal field. 

 

The Patent Translation Certificate Course is a high level training program which aims at improving the skills of translating patents in different major fields of activity.


The non-degree program of Ewha Womans University GSTI has been held in high regard as it provides excellent education through the participation of professional interpreters and translators who are graduates of GSTI, as well as other specialists.

 

Commissioned Education

Commissioned education refers to the customized courses in interpretation/translation education provided to institutions who request it. When companies or government institutions request interpretation and translation education, consultations are held, and an appropriate educational program is designed so that the clients can acquire the interpretation/translation skills that they need. In addition, these programs are tailored to enhance the overall communications abilities of participants.
