Institute for International Trade and Cooperation (IITC) was established in August 1996 with a vision of creating a top-notch global research institute. In collaboration with the Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS), IITC has served Ewha Womans University for its Global Research, Workshops and Conferences, Publications, Education and Training, and International Networking.



IITC has provided innovative learning and leading-edge research opportunities for members of the Ewha Community and bridges the gap between academics and practitioners. IITC was awarded one of Ewha Global Top 5 Projects titled “Social Capital, Democratic Governance, and Corporate Social Responsibility.” IITC also has been selected as the host institution of Korean-German Forum. In November 2014, Public Diplomacy Center of IITC launched in February 2014, hosted U.S-Korea Public Diplomacy Forum in Washington D.C.



As a vanguard and medium for the exchange of ideas and information between eminent scholars from around the world, IITC operates 7centers including Center for Conflict Management, Global Leadership Center, FTA Center, Public Diplomacy Center, Center for Korean Language Education and Research, EU Center, and Center for Global Social Responsibility, and publishes a KCI ranked journal, International Studies Review.
