Alex Kim holds a Ph.D. in Management from the Krannert School of Management, Purdue University. He received M.A. in Economics and B.S. in Statistics and Operations Research from University of Illinois at Chicago. Prior to joining GSIS, he was an assistant professor in the college of management at Long Island University since 2011 (New York, USA). His main research interests are in competitive strategy and digital marketing, including issues in online advertising (e.g. search advertising auction design and advertising media coordination), product line and new product development strategy, etc. His research has appeared in leading international journals and conference proceedings such as Marketing Letters, Management Decision, AMA conference proceedings, etc. His teaching interests include marketing strategy, product/brand management, digital marketing, international business and quantitative analysis.
