학과/전공 소개 (Introduction)

빅데이터분석학협동과정은 빅데이터와 관련하여 국내외적으로 전문 고급인력에 대한 수요에 대응하기 위하여 일반대학원에 신설한 석박사 프로그램입니다.

최고 수준의 데이터 과학자가 되기 위해서는 IT 관련 기술 역량뿐만 아니라,데이터 분석 역량, 그리고 비즈니스 적용 역량에 이르기까지 다양한 분야에서의 역량 강화가 필요합니다. 이를 위해 본 프로그램은 빅데이터 관련 일반론뿐만 아니라 경영학, 컴퓨터 공학, 통계학, 소셜 미디어 등 다양한 분야의 교수진과 교과목을 포함한 융합적이고 다학제적(Multi-disciplinary)으로 구성하였습니다.

이화여대 빅데이터분석학협동과정은 향후 우리 사회의 주역으로 떠오를 주요 전문가 그룹인 데이터 과학자(Data scientist)가 되기를 희망하는 미래 인재들에게 빅데이터 관련 주요 요소 기술을 이론과 현장실습을 통해 교육함으로써 필요로 하는 다양한 역량을 배양합니다. 졸업자들은 빅데이터라는 새로운 분야의 핵심 역량을 갖춘 미래형 인재로서 이 사회에 크게 기여할 것이라 기대합니다.

Big data analytics is a field with an enormous potential to create value in this knowledge-based society, and is considered one of the key growth engines for the next generation. The Master's degree in Big data analytics is designed to prepare students for challenging careers in the application of IT and data analytics to solve various problems in business and our society.

Big data professionals are a data scientist with strong knowledge about IT, data analysis skills and business application capability. Students in big data analytics program in Ewha Womans University learn business processes, data analysis skills and IT skills through our convergent and multi-disciplinary program covers business, information technology, computer science, and statistics field.

The Doctor of Philosophy in big data analytics is the highest academic honor an institution can bestow to its students. The doctoral program is rigorous with an aim to train and prepare students to be critical and creative independent thinkers. A Big data analytics Ph.D. gives students the ability to perform critical analysis of existing work, and to undertake research studies to advance academic understanding in the data analytics field in the course of their Ph.D. studies and in their subsequent career.
