Ewha’s Center for Global Social Responsibility (CGSR) was founded in 2011 with the goal of enhancing values and strategies rooted in socially responsible principles through awareness-building and by linking local and global stakeholders. Specifically, we engage in research, fieldwork and partnerships to showcase Korean stakeholders within the field of social responsibility to a global audience, while also raising further awareness at the local level by sharing global trends and initiatives.

With sustainable development moving up the global agenda, promoting the social responsibility of corporations, governments, communities and citizens has become a crucial challenge facing our increasingly globalized world. In light of this, Ewha’s CGSR has carried out interdisciplinary research on corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy, socially responsible and impact investing, corporate governance, development cooperation, social enterprises and social innovation, and public-private partnerships (PPPs). We have also established strategic partnerships with universities and research institutes such as Korea Social Responsibility Institute (KOSRI), Boston College’s Center for Corporate Citizenship (BCCCC), The Bridge, SERVE and RISE Initiatives (with Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Peking University, Kyoto University), WikiRate, Social Enterprise Network (SEN) and the Responsible & Value (R&V) Investing Club.

We look forward to partnering with you to create a more sustainable, responsible and innovative global society. Please contact cgsr@ewha.ac.kr for more information.
