The Korean Department currently offers the following degree programs:
Major
Master’s Degree
Doctoral Degree
Korean Culture
Master of Arts in Korean Studies (Korean Culture)
PH.D. in Korean Studies
Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language
Master of Arts in Korean Studies (Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language)
The following criteria should be met in order to complete and acquire a diploma on the chosen degree program.
Two years (four semesters) of regular enrollment
Completion of 33 coursework credits + thesis (3 credits) OR 36 coursework credits if not taking thesis with a grade point average of 3.00 or above
Completion of the selected degree program’s course requirement
Completion of all requirements within 7 years
Completion of 36 coursework credits with a grade point average of 3.00 or above
Successful completion of the Comprehensive Exam
Successful completion of a Doctoral Dissertation and Oral Defense
Completion of all requirements within 11 years
