The National Health Insurance Service is obligated to join local health insurance for foreign students from March 1, 2021 in accordance with the government policy of the Republic of Korea.

⚫ Subject: Foreigners and overseas Korean students (applicable for natural registration without separate application)

⚫ When to apply for mandatory health insurance for students for language course (D-4 visa): 6 months from the date of entry
