초록

본 논문은 성을 억압이자 자원의 원천으로 만들어 낸 사회에서 살면서 폭력과 강압만으로 이루어지지 않은 피해 경험의 복합성을 가진 십대 여성들이 어떻게 자신의 피해경험을 피해자다움에 맞추어 재현하게 되는지, 그리고 피해자다움의 각본에 맞지 않는 피해자 경험에 대해 어떤식의 접근이 필요한 지에 대해 모색해 보려는 연구이다. 십대 가출 여성들이 집 밖에서 겪는 성적 피해는 광범위하나 그들이 자신의 모든 피해를 인식하거나 문제화 하지는 않는다. 이들이 자신의 피해를 문제화하기로 마음먹게 된 순간은 주로 몸과 건강상에 문제가 생겼을 때이다. 그러나 이들이 자신의 피해 경험을 인지하기 시작했을 때, 십대 가출 여성들이 자신의 피해경험과 그것을 해석하는 사회의 지배적 각본 사이에서 충돌하게 될 때, 이들은 자신의 경험을 사회에서 인정받을 수 있는 피해의 유형으로 재구성 하게 된다. 그리고 이 과정에서 삭제된 여러 요소들이 자신의 삶에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 직면하고 성찰하기 어려워진다. 성의 상품화와 피해자다움의 각본을 지닌 사회구조 안에서 십대 여성들은 ‘숨어서 자원화 하기’ 혹은 ‘피해자화를 통한 드러내기’를 왕복하게 된다. 이러한 점은 피해를 이해하는데 있어 그 사건들에 속해있는 여러 가지 차원을 식별하고 사건이 상호간에 맞물려 서로서로를 낳게 하는 계보의 구성이 필요함을 보여준다. 사건의 복합적인 측면을 섬세하게 식별하고 상이한 요인들이 맞물려 서로서로를 야기하는 계보를 통해 피해를 이해하는 것은 피해처럼 보이지 않으나 피해로 구성될 수 있는 구조적 맥락을 보다 선명하게 드러낼 수 있을 것으로 생각한다.

Preceding researches on teenager's experience on runaway and prostitution have shown that they could not represented in the dichotomy between helpless victim and agency. However, social perspective on those who have lived a life with oppression and negotiation are likely to be in the frame of the voluntary or coerced. Their experience on harm is constructed by complex context which is comprised of contrasting factors such as exploitation, concern, offending and caring. But their experiences are likely to be interpreted by conspiration or a lack of resistance. As a result they chose to represent themselves according to victim model recognizable in a society. That means there have been many experiences which could not be explained in the frame of traditional victimhood. The problem of traditional victimhood is that it could not offer explanation to understand a complex of harms. Also, it could cause teenage runaway girls to exhaust their life by using sex for money or depending on helpless victim image. This research is trying to argue a new way of understanding complex positions in which teenage girls make relations to their harms. To do this, this research examines Foucault's idea of power relation. Foucault suggests that power cannot be understood in a way of owing or deprivation. Rather, power can be understood as an effect caused by relations and conflicts among multiple positions. This idea of power relation in Foucault shows that there is a need to understand complex relations in which victim makes relations to injury. This research suggests to examine a genealogy in which various factors are intersected and cause other factors to operate. By doing this, we could understand a context of harm and through understanding the context we could cause victims to reflect their experience so that they could get an opportunity to take away from oppressive situation.
