Program Outline - Bravo! ASEAN in Korea 2012

ASEAN-Korea Centre is organizing “Bravo! ASEAN in Korea 2012,” a music and dance contest for ASEAN residents in Korea, to boost public awareness of ASEAN cultures and facilitate exchange between Korean and ASEAN people. This program will be a good opportunity to share diverse cultures and promote fellowship among the people of ASEAN and Korea.

¨ Program Title: Bravo! ASEAN in Korea 2012

¨ Objective

Ÿ To raise awareness of ASEAN cultures among the Korean general public

Ÿ To promote understanding of ASEAN countries and facilitate exchange between Koreans and ASEAN people

¨ Date/ Venue

Ÿ Preliminary Round: 23 September 2012/ Creven Academy (Jung-gu, Seoul)

Ÿ Main Competition: 27 October 2012/ AX-Korea in Seoul (Gwangjin-gu, Seoul)

¨ Participants

Ÿ Preliminary Round: Some 30 ASEAN individuals/teams who are residing in Korea

Ÿ Main Competition: Around 10-15 individuals/teams for main competition

¨ Main Activities

Ÿ Preliminary Round

-    Promote to invite 30-40 teams/individual contestants

-    Contestants will showcase each country’s traditional songs and dances as well as contemporary Korean pop music

-    Select 10-12 teams/individuals from the preliminary round

Ÿ Main Competition

-    To be recorded and broadcast through TV Network

-    Selected teams will be rewarded at the Awards Ceremony

-    Promote main competition among Korean public as well as ASEAN communities

-    A raffle event will be held for audiences
