[Education of Women's Studies in the Glocal Era: international Workshop for Young Scholars in Asia]

This project is designed based on past experienes of organizing international lecture programs and networking feminist scholars from Asian countries by Korean Women's Institute and the resources of Ewha Womans University.
The (far‐reaching) goals of this project are to educate and train Asian young scholars in women's studies and to strengthen networking among them.
Major objectives of the project are:
To educate and train Asian young scholars in women's studies and disseminate Women's Studies through a series of lectures and workshop.
To grasp and understand experiences of Asian women in their socio‐cultural contexts and to provide a place for discourses to develop theory and practice based on Asian women's lives and history.
To strengthen networking among Asian women scholars and to discuss future directions on their activities.
To build up an academic community among Asian women scholars
To grope the possibility of establishing an interdisciplinary program of 'Asian Women's Studies' in the curricula at the graduate level.
This project is significant in maintaining linkage and networking among women scholars in asian countries.
