Title : Invitation to the Global e-Government Forum 2013

 “Global e-Government Forum 2013 (GeGF 2013)” will be held from 22 to 23 October in Korea.


The theme of the Forum is “Smart Government & Smart Society”, and is hosted by the Ministry of Security and Public Administration (MOSPA), and the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA), and organized by the National Information Society Agency (NIA).


The Republic of Korea is a major global champion of e-government as witnessed by the consecutive top ranking in the UN e-Government Survey of 2010 and 2012. Korea is committed to advancing global e-Government development with a view towards contributing to the MDGs. Continuing on the success of the 1stForum, this year’s event promises to bring together global e-Government leaders and champions for stimulating exchanges and provide insights into the direction of future of e-Government development.


A High-Level Roundtable will also take place with participation from ICT Ministers and heads of international organization to share their respective efforts in implementing the GeGF2012 Seoul GeGF Communiqué, and also to discuss and identify areas of cooperation for digital inclusion and e-Government development. This year’s GeGF is co-located with the “7thInternational Conference on Theory and Practice of Electronic Governance”, organized by NIA with MOSPA as Patron, and will bring to bear truly wide-ranging perspectives on the issues at hand.
