Dear students,

I am writing this message to ask you to consider registering for my 'Math for Economics' and 'Law & Economics' classes taught in English.

Why should you take 'Law & Economics'?
- Because it is a very interesting class. It is one of my favorite classes to teach, because it is very applied, and very relevant to what happens in the world today and what shows up in daily news. It deals with the state of laws/rules/norms/agreements/ rights in the real world, and with the structure of the law industry, and tries to explain them using theories from various areas in economics, such as game theory and trade theory. The class should give you a new perspective on many phenomena around you. We'll try to say something about some cool topics such as Islamic Sharia Law, regulation of outer space or international waters, accidents with hot coffee in McDonalds, situations where breaking a contract or breaking the law is efficient and even desirable, etc.
- This is a good class even for non-economists, because all analytical methods used will be explained in class.
- Textbook is free (posted on Cyber Campus)!

Why should you take 'Math for Economics'?
-It is an important conceptual class. If you want to continue with Economic studies or if you want to get quantitative/analytical jobs, taking this class is a must. Regardless of your future career, years later you will still remember bits and pieces of what we cover!
- Don't be scared - I will try to walk you through all class material carefully. My PPT slides will follow the textbook very closely, and so you will see the same material explained in the book, in the PPTs, and in my lectures.
- If you are occasionally lost in the material, remind yourself that all other students are suffering with the same material just as much as you are! I will do my best to keep everyone from falling behind, and I will use a generous curve.
- Textbook is free (posted on Cyber Campus)!
