E Lounge (2021-1학기)

 

 

최근 코로나 상황에 심각성에 적절히 대응하고자, ELounge 는 2021 년 봄 학기를 온라인으로 운영합니다. 운영시간은11 시부터 6 시까지이며, Zoom (화상 회의 앱)으로 진행할 예정입니다. 스피킹 투터링이 온라인으로 진행되므로, ECC B235호는 학기 중에 방문 및 사용이 불가합니다. 자세한 내용은 아래 설명을 참고하시기 바랍니다. 

1.  당분간 이라운지는 예약제로만 운영될 예정입니다. 

2.  학생들은 이라운지 홈페이지를 통해서 예약 할 수 있습니다. 내부 사정으로 인해 저녁 6시 이후에 예약을 할 경우 자동 취소됩니다.  

3.  담당 Tutor 가 Zoom conference room info를 보낼 수 있도록 예약 시 이메일 주소를 알려주시기 바랍니다. 담당 tutor는 예약 전일까지 필요한 정보를 알려드릴 예정입니다. 

4.  원활한 진행을 위해 학생들은 카메라와 마이크를 켜시고, 안정적인 인터넷 환경에서 시작하시길 바랍니다.  

5.  원격 세션이 진행되는 기간, No show 와 Same-day Cancellations 는 가급적 피해주시기 바랍니다. 

※모든 예약이 이메일로 처리되고 있어서, 시간적 여유가 필요합니다. 다른 학생들의 이용을  제한하는 결과를 낳을 수 있으니, 이 기간 동안 특별히 고려해주시기 바랍니다. 

6.  이라운지 Tutor 는 라이팅 과제 도우미가 아님을 인지해주시기 바랍니다. 

7.  원격 세션이 진행되는 동안, 카카오톡이나 문자, SNS의 사용을 피해주시기 바랍니다. 1:1 대화 상황에서 타인과의 대화를 하게 되면, Tutor는 학생과의 대화에 집중하기가 어렵습니다. ** 이라운지는 학생들의 스피킹 향상을 위해 대면 세션으로만 운영되었기 때문에, 비대면 세션에 익숙하지 않습니다. 그 점 양해해주시고, 필연적인 지연이나 기술적인 불편함을 이해해주시기 바 랍니다. 이러한 상황에 적응하면서, 그 임무를 다하는 tutor 들과 주어진 시간 동안 즐거운 영어 말하기 세션을 가질 수 있길 바랍니다.

In order to cooperate with the decision made by EWHA, Elounge will run fully online (via Zoom, a video conferencing app). 

Operating hours (3/15-12/11), Mon-Fri.: 11 am to 6 pm 

Service  

25 min. Casual conversation in English with a tutor on free topic. (No Assignment)  

Making an appointment  

1.  Go to http://epo.ewha.ac.kr, click “영어 라운지” tab. 

2.  Click “튜터링 예약” 

3.  Find the time you want, then click on the block for a tutor with “예약가능” tab. 

4.  Fill in the sign-in sheet, you need to add email address for the tutor to contact you. 

5.  Press “save” 

6.  Check your email from the Elounge, tutors will contact you by the day before your reserved time to inform you of Zoom meeting. 

7.  Your tutor will give you details on how to get to Zoom Conference Room for the speaking session. 

 

Things to remember for online sessions  

•  Turn your camera and mike on during the session. 

•  Do not use Kakao Chat or social media while you are on the session. When you are coming in, please be committed to the conversation you will have with the tutors.

•  No show during this time period will cause your tutor to wait (wasting their time) and to worry (wasting their energy). If you can’t come, please email us and cancel your appointment at least on the morning of your reserved day. 

•  Same-day cancelations also have to be done via email (there won’t be anyone in the office to pick up  the phone). It may cost other student’s chance of using the service. If you have to cancel, please  email us at latest on the morning (before 10 am) of your reserved day. 

•  It is your responsibility to check your email once you have made a reservation, it will still be  considered No show if you claimed to have checked the email late. 

•  Students who come to an appointment 10 minutes late or more will be considered a “No show”, after  10 min. your tutor will leave the conference room. 

 

**ELounge service is not meant to run online, but we have recently decided to cope with the situation via online for students who may want to use the service. So please be cooperative in inevitable lag time in confirming your reservation or technical difficulties if it occurs during the session.
